Rabbi Ethan Stein
Rabbi Ethan Stein is an experienced educator and community builder. For over a decade Rabbi Stein has helped develop and expand the young professional community on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. His contributions include weekly Torah classes, personalized one-on-one learning sessions, counseling, and officiating life cycle events. Rabbi Stein currently serves as the Rabbi of East Side Minyan and previously held the position of Assistant Rabbi at CYP on the Upper East Side. A Manhattan native, he earned both a B.A. and M.A. in Computer Science from Brandeis University and received rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Gavriel Tzinner and Rabbi Gedaliah Oberlander. Rabbi Stein is known for his warm, caring and giving personality, as well as his engaging classes and lectures.
Beyond his rabbinic duties, Rabbi Stein channels his passion for adventure and philanthropy into physical challenges. He inspires others to join him in marathons, century bike rides, and scaling some of the world's tallest peaks. -
Reb Jack Cohen
Rabbi Jack Cohen is a Jewish educator and author who specializes in Torah psychology and philosophy, and the intersection of Torah and science.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Physics and Philosophy, and an M.A. in Education from Harvard University. He is a co-author of the book Nurture their Nature, about self esteem and individuality in education. He publishes weekly articles on his Substack (www.TheExpressionoflife.com) applying a philosophical perspective to the wisdom of the Torah, as related to our daily lives. He is passionate about topics related to education and personal growth and holds weekly classes for young professionals in Aventura, as well as shiurim on Shabbat at the Presidential Sinagogue in Miami.
Rabbi Jack is the Director of Torah Studies at Hebrew Academy of Miami. He lives in Miami with his wife and five children.
